Course Objective:

To provide basic and essential knowledge for the response and handling incident from hazardous materials (i.e. Oil and/or Chemicals).The course is designed as Preliminary Training and/or Refresher Training with the combination of classroom training and hand-on exercise.

Course Duration:

This course is designed for 2-day training, but it is independent to each other, i.e. participants can participate either 1-day or both days. Participant will receive NRC-AP Certificate

Who must attend:

The course is suited for all levels of participants (Managers-Supervisors-Operators) who will be handling hazardous materials and/or would like to enhance their knowledge in HAZMAT Spill Response Operations. This course is considered by numerous organizations to be an Introductory course for Company Emergency Response Team.

    • Oil Spill Response Strategies, Successes and Limitations
  • Day 2: Hazardous Chemical Spill Operations
    • Definition and Classification of Hazardous Materials
    • Physical & Chemical Characteristics of Hazardous Materials.
    • Toxicology & Exposure Guidelines
    • Identification of Hazardous Substances and Potential Sources of Information
    • Personal Protective Equipment
    • Decontamination and Waste Management Issues.
